Children’s Ministry at Evangel serves children age 0–5th grade and their families. Children are welcomed, valued, protected, and lovingly cared for while they learn who Jesus is, how to follow Him and hear His voice.
Nursery and Jr. KidCity
Nursery and toddler care is provided during the 9:30 (0–PreK) and 11:00am Sunday services. Our Nursery cares for children 0-24 months, while 2-4 year olds are cared for in the Jr. KidCity Room. Children enjoy play, age-appropriate stories, and songs throughout the morning.

Children K-5th grade begin in the service with their parents and are dismissed for KidCity before the preach. In KidCity, we mirror what is being taught in “big church” in a fun, creative way.
Child Safety
We take our children’s safety very seriously. We expect volunteers to be a part of the Evangel community for at least 6 months before we schedule them for volunteer service in our children’s programs. Additionally, all of our volunteers are required to complete a background check and attend our child safety training.

So far, we’ve had time machine visits by such people…

Evangel Code: Kids FIRST

Code #10: ** We do handstands in KidCity and rap worship songs on Sunday. ** We are okay with turning ourselves and the whole church upside down to reach the children and youth of our city.  We are a spiritual home for the emerging generation.     No joke.  That’s who we are.     The first major thing Sara and I did, when it came to radically reaching out to our city, was orchestrate a 180 degree flip (or…
